Preferred radio call sign for the ARFF IC is “(location/facility) Command” when communicating with the flight crew and the FAA ATCT.

- USCG RCC: Maritime SAR. Multiple Coast Guard districts.
- State agencies: Many states have additional SAR resources for ground search.
If you survive a crash:
- Stay with the aircraft (visible from air)
- Activate ELT if not auto-activated
- Use any survival equipment
- Signal with mirror, fire, ground signals
- Conserve food/water if extended survival needed
