Preferred radio call sign for the ARFF IC is “(location/facility) Command” when communicating with the flight crew and the FAA ATCT.

  • Stay with the aircraft (visible from air)
  • Activate ELT if not auto-activated
  • Use any survival equipment
  • Signal with mirror, fire, ground signals
  • Conserve food/water if extended survival needed
