Research Notes
Section 91.601 establishes the applicability of Subpart G — Additional Equipment and Operating Requirements for Large and Transport Category Aircraft. This Subpart layers on top of Subpart F with even more specific requirements for the largest aircraft.
What Subpart G covers: Specific equipment requirements for large transport-category airplanes — fuel jettison systems, equipment for operations in icing, autopilot disengage indications, GPWS, and similar technical requirements driven by transport-category type design.
